Dear Mara, Ghada, Smadar, Sivan, Yoel, Ibrahim, Oded, Itzhak, Rafi and all the others,

On Saturday, April 13th we participated in a demonstration in Berlin.
Lots of groups in Germany asked people to show their solidarity with Palestine. We were there and felt happy and sad at the same time. We did not really feel good but it was important that WE took part Our students had the chance to speak , to speak about their point of view and to show their poster ( poster and speech you can see in the attachment).
It is really hard for our students to understand as they feel closely connected to all of you. I expected their feelings but was myself very helpless.
Our intention was to show the other side – you and us.
After the speech we got some applause and had the feeling that at least some other people had understood our message.
But we also had to see that others were burning the flag. We felt terrible.
We stayed at the side of the road and showed our posters to all the people passing by. Lots of them looked at it and talked to us.
It was an important experience to our students
as it is up to you to bring peace
only you
you Israelis
you Palestines
actually You People
we, what can we do? We can support you.
We want to help as much as we can.
Please believe me how much I suffer when I watch the news but I must see them.
The demonstration in Frankfurt/ Main only from the Israelian point of view- in Berlin only the Palestinian one.
If there is hope then only in working together.
So we must continue our partnership and work, now it is even more important than before!
