My name is Ulrike but most people call me Ulli. I am 18 years old and live in Frankfurt/Oder in a little house. There I live with my parents and a cat.  I take part in this project because I wasn't out of europe yet and I want to get to know kultures that are far away. In the primary school I took part in a exchange project as well with poland and that's way I was 3 times in Pobierowo. From "Building Bridges" I expect: having a funny time! getting to know a lot and learning a lot! experiencing something that wouldn't be possible privatly! ============================ Hello. I am Marcel Götz, 20 years old and I make currently a job education for the IT services industry. I am interested at the project „Building Bridges“ because I like your history and culture and try to understand it. What sometimes is not so easy, because I have little background information. I also expect from this project that it helps me to expand my cultural views and dismantle prejudices against other countries and cultures.  I would be very pleased if our entire participants between a friendly network would develop, making the contact, not only exists as long as this project. ========================== I´m very interested to take part to the journey to israel, because I think it will be very exciting to see the culture, the eating habits, the people and especially the teenangers. Also I want to compare the differences to europe. I like to take part in this project because it is very important for me to know another country. This project gives me a chance to get to know more about this special country about the people and their culture. I want to gain more information besides the bad information from the media. I hope that I can give the humans something and they can give me something, too. ========================= Why I want to join in? For sure the reason why  a lot of people do traveling: curiosity. Mixed up with the smell of adventure, the thought I-don`t-know-anythning and a breathe of ambitious to help. So what coulkd I aspect? In the workcamps where I did been, it was a matter of the people which are also joined in ans what we did do all the day. I think here it`s the same. I learn in a high school in Haifa; The Orthodox Arab College in 10th grade. I'm a lazy person! if it dependents on me – I can sleep the whole day. The idea of waking up early makes me sick.. but I have to do something useful. I also like to dance, our folkloristic dance DABKA and eastern Dance. I have a stranger habbit, eating! I spend my spare time in eating, i know – everybody eats. But I feel a must to eat if I have a spare time and don't know what to do on it. As you saw..i'm a stranger person and my strange makes me a little bit special! I have a lovely warm family, a nurse mother, an agronomist father, a talented brother, a two lovely sisters! My big brother and sister have participated in this project since 3 years, year after year, in the 3 years they spent a lot of  fun time, the had an experience that none had. They met new friends, they learned a lot about German's, Polish's and even Jewish's life. They absolutely builded this bridge, 3 years passed and they still in a communication with their friends from German and Poland. I see my brother and sister, I see the change this project made in their characters, and I wonder : do this project can change my character too? I have this curiousness to find out how it is to live another culture, absolutely different than mine. Being one of the participants in this project means me presenting my culture, my race and it makes me proud! I have dreamed to present my culture, my folklore, my Arab-Palestinian nature all my life, and here is the opportunity to fulfill my dream. I think it's obvious that this is my first time participating in project like this and wish you can accept me in this project and to includes me as a one o your participants. ============================= hellow.. my name is Salwa Hasheem Massarwa From Kfar Qari . I learn in a middle school  - iben sena in ninth grade , I'm 15 years old . ============================= I apriciate MY LIFE! ,because of this I try to satisfy myself and the others by doing usefull acts .   Also I try to have  , And I try allways do it in many cases - reading stories , meeting friends , and Participation social activities. I like to visit new places , and to meet very much humans From several generations and several civilizations. I like the English languege and the spanish languege , and i work to improve it in a high level and to speak it fluently. the most important thing that i like to travel all over the world and to know new places ,and  explore other places . I am 17 years old And I have been in the project since the 7th grade. This will Be the third tume I go to Germany with the project. In Kazir I am volunteering as a scout second year volunteering. I also help Izik in numerous occations. Why Im interested in the project: I have been in this project since the 7th grade. In the 7th I only Hosted but in the 9th grade I flew for the first time. I was in Germany twice before, because of the project, the first time I stayed in Polin and the second time in Germany. This project really interests me. I learned many things from this project and I enjoyed it very mach. My personal experience:  Because I was in this project in the past I am in a situation in wich twice a year I meet them in Germany or in Polin or they come here to Israel. ========================== Assignment number-1 My name is nofar cohen I live in Katzir, Israel. I'm learning in "Gvanim" school in 11 grades. I have one little sister and my hobbies are playing in the piano, painting and go out with my friends. I'm taking part in the Scouts of Katzir in the team of donation to the community. I would like to take part in this project because in the last two years I was twice in Germany and host German students in my house for three times, and every time this experience gets more fun and more exciting. And that's why I will be glad to take part in this delegation again. In part of this project I get the opportunity to meat people from different cultures and places. For example, Katzir is located next to kfar-kara but with out this project I'm almost sure that I won't talk with the student from kfar-kara about the situation in Israel and listen to their own stories. And that's why this project gives you the opportunity to hear the opinion of the other sides and learning more about other culture. I’m a student in 11 grade at “Gvanim” school. I’m active in the “Israeli Boy Scout”, and volunteer in intensive care. First of all, I would like take part in the project because the combination of so many teenagers is interesting me. Secondly, I was in Germany last year and it was a very good experience, and I will be so happy to visit there again.   In my life, I have many meeting with other culture- the Arab culture. One reason to this friction is the area where Katzir localized: between a lot of Arab villages, the second reason is that in my class at school study with me two Arab students. A few words about myself. I learn in Gvanim high school in the 11th grade. I volunteer on an ambulance which is from the Magen David Adom  which I really like.  On the weekends I like to go out with my friends to parties. I am interested in the project this year first of all because last year I had a lot of fun and I learned different things about different people.  This year  I would like to increase my knowledge . My meetings with people from other cultures is a daily thing for me because  I live in an area where there are a lot of muslims  in the surrounding villages. Also in my class there are 2 arab kids and we get along pretty well. ============================ My name is Lior Golan and I'm in 11th grade in "Gvanim" high school. My major studies in high school is Art, I love to painting. I attending the Israeli scouts' movement and I'm responsible of 6th grad children. I love to dance and to go out with my friends. I would like to be a part of this project because I am very interested in "world war 2" history, and I would like to meet people from Germany and Poland and hare what they think and feel about it. My personal experience happened in the last project in Germany. Part of the student in my group ware Arabs from the near city ware I live. We wonted to sing the Israeli anthem, the Arabs kids didn't won't to sing it because they think it's the Jewish anthem.
